Jeannette Johnson or best known as A Deaf Pundit, hails from Michigan. She is fluent in both of her native languages, American Sign Language and English. Aside from maintaining The Deaf Edge, a sociopolitical blog covering the Deaf Community, she is a local Deaf activist.

Her activism includes having successfully advocating with fellow community leaders for the restoration of Deaf mental health services. She also was one of the advocacy team leaders who successfully assisted in blocking the government from overruling parental rights when it came to cochlear implant surgeries in 2002.

Jeannette is a former intern of the National Association of the Deaf and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public & Nonprofit Administration. She is implementing her delusions of grandeur for changing the world, one person at a time.
